JESSICA TAYLOR

Jessica is the founder of Come Away Missions. God called her to missions at a summer camp when she was in 8th grade. Jessica has been involved in missions in the United States and around the world since middle school. In 2009 she began the journey of taking teams over to Rwanda, Africa and now wants to make this ministry available for everyone who has a heart to disciple and give God glory among the nations.

JONATHAN TAYLOR

Jonathan is the pastoral team leader. He has served in full-time ministry for 18 years. His heart is reaching the lost and making Jesus known. He leads and oversees teams in the areas of pastoral training, discipleship, and student ministry. His hope is to come alongside the work God is already doing and share this heart for Rwanda with those willing to "go into all the world..." Jonathan & Jessica live in Alabama with their two beautiful girls Grace and Oliviya.

JEAN BAPTISTE TUYISHIMIRE

Jean was born in Rwanda in 1970 and became a Christian in 1981. He is married to Beatrice Uwumuremyi and together they have five children named David, Samuel, Hannah, Batista, & Emmanuelle. When they married, they knew that they would be spending the rest of their lives discipling girls, boys, women, and men who would make a lasting impact on a lost world. For the past 20 years, they have pastored 4 different churches, started 15 new churches, and are currently serving as pastors again.

JENNA ALLEN

Jenna has been married to her husband Ian for 15 years and they have two children together, Addie & Avery. Jenna is a lifestyle photographer who also specializes in business branding, logos, and website design. She loves helping entrepreneurs get their businesses up and running. You can visit her website here. We are so thankful to have her as our IT Director for Come Away Missions. She also is the photographer for Do Good Project, another ministry of Come Away Missions.

CHASITY CLARK

Chasity has been serving with Come Away Missions since 2011. She has been on several short term mission trips to Rwanda since she was 19 years old. Over the years she has grown in her faith and obedience to the Lord and now serves as the Director of Medical Missions for our organization. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2014 with a degree in psychology and biology. It was in Rwanda where she gained clarity on what she felt like God was calling her to do in the medical field. She went on to graduate school at the University of South Alabama where she earned her master’s degree as a physician assistant in 2016. She currently works at a rural family medicine office in Centreville, Alabama.

ISAAC GILBERT

Isaac has been married to his wife Stephanie for 16 years. They are blessed with 3 children— Bryce, Bentley, and Avery. He is a full time youth pastor at Summerville Baptist Church. He is over the finances here at Come Away Missions. He fell in love with the people of Rwanda when he took some of his college students from his church in the summer of 2022. We are so blessed to have Isaac on our team.

MADISON WARD

Madison and her husband Will have been together for seven years; they got married in 2022 and have two wonderful children. They attend Church of the Highlands, where she gets to serve on the part time staff as the Kids Check-In Coordinator.

In her professional role, she is the Agent Services Coordinator at Keller Williams Realty, where she focuses on enhancing the company culture and supporting agents. She graduated from Highlands College in May, moving closer to her calling in full-time ministry.

Madison has been to Rwanda once and feels a strong calling to be a part of what the Lord is doing in Africa. She is the executive assistant to Jessica we are excited to have her on the team.
